Finance Analyst-Channel Support
Description: Position Summary: Provide support for the Dealer, Builder & Wholesale Channels to the Channel Finance team, internal channel customers, and the Sales Vice Presidents (and their teams), in improving the profitability of MBCIs business by providing quality analysis and decision support. The primary responsibilities of this position are to assist with business analysis, maintain and ensure the accuracy of the channel financial statements, monitor program accruals, and maintain customer profitability financial reporting system.
Accountabilities: oProvide tools to monitor and understand financial results and develop accounting processes to properly reflect financial results by channel oReconcile the channel financials monthly. oDevelop and maintain the proper allocation of generic brand expenses to channel. oForecast volume allowance, growth incentives and co-op to ensure proper accruals. oAssist in the development of new tools for improved revenue forecasting. oPrepare analysis to identify and understand drivers of channel and customer profitability oPrepare mix analysis to determine how changes in mix impact profit. oPrepare margin analysis by product, channel and customer. oAnalyze Average Selling Price by channel and brand. oReconcile the sales growth by cause of growth i.e. new customers, new products, etc. oProvide support in analyzing Dealer and Wholesale channel promotions, programs, and projects. oForecast financial impact of promotions and changes to programs. oTrack and report on promotion effectiveness. oCalculate margin on projects proposed by sales leadership. oAssist with month end closing responsibilities and required analysis of channel financial results.
Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills and Experience: The qualified candidate should be analytical, proactive and detail oriented. Position requires a solid working knowledge of accounting procedures, involving both balance sheet and operating statement. Experience in a manufacturing environment would be a plus. Experience with MS Excel is required and database applications (Access, etc.) is preferred.
Education: This position requires a Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting. MBA or CMA/CPA is preferred. 2-5 years of experience in a related field is necessary.
