Job Description:

Primary Functions:

• Assure business partner satisfaction
  
• Apply analytical skills and software knowledge to requests from business partners.
  
• Prepare and analyze weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports and analysis.
  
• Assist CFO & Director of Finance with Sales proposals, standard costing, pricing, and other strategic planning initiatives.
  
• Monthly review of inventory transactions and valuation.

Responsibilities:

• Play a key role in the continued development of our weekly and monthly reporting of actual sales results on a monthly, quarterly, and YTD basis.
  
• Assist in the pricing and margin ($’s and %’s) of new products, SMU’s, and holiday promotion programs (Black Friday), which allow the company to meet its financial objectives in regards to revenues and margin.
  
• Support Merchandising with the costing and pricing (both national and non-national) of product development initiatives.
  
• Support Sales with the analysis of Sales proposals and ensure that those proposals meet the company’s financial targets and objectives.
  
• Inventory Maintenance – Setting up of new products within MAS200 and maintaining any item related changes such item numbers, product lines, and standard costs.
  
• Monthly Inventory  – Matching invoices to product receipts and monthly valuation (Inventory Summary), and monthly inventory transactions.

• Support the ad hoc analysis of day to day requests.
  
• Provide support to Sales with regards to system data validation ensuring data accuracy.
  
• Assist Merchandising in setting gross margin and pricing strategy.
  
• Work with operations to ensure costing information accuracy on standards, new product introductions, and Sales proposals.

Performance Measurements  & Accountabilities:

• Work quality, attendance, and adherence to company policies of Finance staff.
  
• Timely issuance of reporting and other financial requests (gross margin, backlog, monthly sales, etc) from business leaders, ensuring information accuracy.
  
• Responsiveness and workflow.

Minimum Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree with 1-2 years of relevant work experience, be diligent, responsive to workflow, provide timely and accurate analysis, ensure work quality, posses strong communication skills, and is comfortable with data mining and management.  Strong Excel skills a must and knowledge of Access is preferred.

Qualifications:

4 year College degree in Finance

Strong written/oral presentation and communication skills.

Outstanding time management skills, with the ability to pro-actively multi-task and prioritize in an independent environment.

Compensation:

Salary $40k-$50k and benefits
