Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Finance/Budget Analyst in Washington, DC.

The responsibilities and duties of this position include but are not limited to:


  • Maintain the oversight and reporting requirements of DHS, ICE, OMB, and Congress

  • Prepare and/or assist with the development of financial documents, processing, and budget execution

  • Provide analytical support for specific programs with respect to budget formulation, execution, and reporting

  • Assist with collecting, tracking, verifying, and reporting on budgets, commitments, and obligations

  • Record and maintain financial transactions and documents in various financial and document management systems including providing analytical support to the budget decision-making support process and performing financial analysis and account reconciliation

  • Assist in the preparation of OMB 300 Exhibits and artifacts including the OMB 300 - Capital Asset Plans (CAPS), Capital Improvement Plans (CIPS), Alternative Analysis, and Business Cases for IT projects

  • Prepare and provide budget input; participating in program management/working group meetings as required

  • Coordinate budget activities with other offices within DHS/ICE/OCIO and other DHS entities as required

  • Prepare reports, white papers, and presentations as required to the Program Manager or his/her designated representatives



Finance/Budget Analyst Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience with financial management including budget analysis

  • Experienced user of Microsoft Excel

  • Knowledge of internal controls

  • BA or BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
