Opportunity:

Tread Corporation, a world leading equipment supplier to the domestic and international explosives industry with the backing of private equity investors is seeking to add an entry level Finance/Cost Accountant.

This position will involve the application of “best in class” accounting practices,  opportunity for development outside the functional area of finance and accounting, and the ability to practice key leadership skills involving both project and change management.  In addition, this position will include the following:

·         An introduction to the activity of Private Equity Investors

·         Direct interaction with executive level management

·         Direct supervision by the CFO with over 30 years of experience in Fortune 500 companies

·         Exposure to international business practices (Over 60% of company revenues are generated overseas)

Responsibilities:

                Primary

·         Financial Statement Preparation and Managerial Analysis

o    Monthly financial statement preparation

o    Managerial accounting analysis (Margin Analysis, Management Ratios, etc)

·         External Relationship Management

o    Assistance with external auditors – financial and banking

o    Preparation of asset based lending documents for support of working capital line of credit

·         Development of Accounting Function

o    Development of a Standard Cost System

o    Implementation of Lean Accounting Principles

Secondary

·         Backup Support for Invoicing, A/R, and Payroll Processing

Qualifications:

·         4 year degree in accounting from nationally accredited university/college

·         1-2 years of work experience (Including Intern and Co-op Experience)

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office products  and experience with ERP software preferred
