Lake of the Woods Association, a 4,200 single family homeowner's association located in Locust Grove, VA, has an immediate opening for a Finance Director. This full-time position will be the Manager of the Accounting office and will be responsible for the financial operations of the business. This position will report directly to the General Manager of the Association.
Some of the core duties will include, but are not limited to:
Developing policies to control and coordinate accounting, auditing, budgeting, tax compliance and related activities and records; developing, establishing and administering procedures, systems, and training pertaining to all financial matters; preparation of monthly financial statements, forecasts, and analyses for all administrative and managerial functions; the maintenance of all accounting records; providing analysis related to operating results and recommending corrective action(s) when required.
The ideal candidate will have a 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 3 years experience in the accounting field, will possess a working knowledge of G.A.A.P. accounting practices and principles, and will have excellent computer and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Experience with the Jonas Management System software program is preferred, but not required.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience. The position offers full benefits, including paid vacation and participation in the 401K retirement plan.
