We are seeking a Financial Accountant who has a passion for customer care and is comfortable working in a team environment to achieve a common goal. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation and execution of month end/year end closing activities.  This person will focus on general accounting duties, including account reconciliations and trend analysis.

Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Be extremely organized, accurate, and highly detail-oriented.

Possess excellent Microsoft Office skills (especially competent in Excel).

Be a self-starter, able to work independently, and focused on accomplishing goals.

Be able to manage multiple projects and frequent priority shifts.

Be capable of troubleshooting questions and recognizing the impact of solutions. 

Have excellent communication skills and be diligent about follow-up. 

Responsibilities:

Prepares journal entries

Assists in the execution of month end/year end closing process

Review and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts

Assists in the preparation of the annual budget

Conducts various financial and budget analyses as requested

Recommends areas of process improvement and better internal control

Other ad hoc projects as needed

Preference will be given to candidates with:

BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance

Hands on experience with Great Plains / Dynamics GP

1-3 years industry experience

Proven organizational skills
