Financial Advisor - On Your Side Center

 JOB TITLE:  Financial Sales Advocate                                

 

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible for cross-selling financial products directly related to property/casualty book of business in assigned On Your Side Center.  Main Center is located in Suprise, AZ, two additional locations to be served by this role also.

 

  

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  

 

1)         Builds relationship/trust with OYSC sales advocate partners.

2)         Develops list of prospective clients upon the advice of NSS, OYSC staff and NFN Sales Management knowledge of potential customers as well as personal evaluation.

3)         Contacts prospects, makes appointments, performs one-on-one needs analysis with customers and makes recommendations, closes the sale.

4)         Completes applications, all necessary forms, arranges medical requirements, collects and submits money and underwriting requirements to Home Office and follows through on sale completion until policy is paid and delivered.

5)         Conducts annual On Your Side Reviews with customers.

6)         Conducts professional sales seminars based on customer needs and follows up on leads generated.

7)         Establishes strong presence in assigned market and generates additional leads.

8)         Maintains required activity levels necessary to meet revenue, production, growth, and life persistency targets.

9)         Maintains effective business relationships with OYSC sales advocates, OYSC management team, peers, support organization, and leadership team.

10)      Provides NFN Sales Management with weekly updates on activity.

11)      Meets all regulatory requirements under applicable laws, rules and regulations. Adheres to all firm compliance and supervisory policies, including but not limited to, anti-money laundering/Office of Foreign Asset Control and/or privacy policies and procedures

12)      Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:   

 

Education: Undergraduate studies in Business, Finance, Communications, Marketing or related field.

 

Licenses/Designations/Registrations: FINRA Series 6, 63 and 65 and other applicable state securities registrations and/or insurance licenses as required. Series 7 and 66 preferred. CFP or ChFC preferred.

 

Associates must obtain the required Federal and/or state licenses/registrations within the time period designated by the business unit. Additional licenses/registrations may be required when new products and/or services are implemented. If an associate fails or is unable to obtain required licenses/registrations within the time period designated by the business unit, the associate will be ineligible to continue in the position.

 

Experience: Typically four years experience in life insurance sales, registered representative or related field. Experience in financial sales client relationship and account management environment preferred.

 

Knowledge: Knowledge of insurance financial products, sales, customer services, and training initiatives required. Knowledge of life underwriting practices and procedures for financial lines of business strongly preferred.

 

Skills/Competencies:  Verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical skills. Demonstrated decision-making skills, including the ability to meet objectives, set priorities, and manage resources assuring objectives are met. Must be proficient in using computers and other applicable business applications.

Working Conditions: Normal office environment.  Travel required.
