This is a new position for the organizations US Headquarters in downtown Atlanta, GA 30326

**The key skill/profile for this position is a candidate with s few years of Public Accounting experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry; someone looking for growth potential, NOT overqualified.**

Responsibilities:
• Prepare financial reports utilizing a broad knowledge of accounting policies and procedures.
• Prepare and/or input general ledger entries by utilizing set procedures and various accounting systems.
• Research accounting treatment and policies by utilizing available technology and other resources.
• Research and resolve reconciling issues and discrepancies; take corrective measures to prevent.
• Provide customer service to internal and external groups.

Qualifications:
• Broad knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.
• Understanding of accounting fundamentals and related financial statements.
• Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to establish and cultivate internal working relationships & ability to work across all functions/levels as part of a team.
• Exceptional analytical, problem solving and communication (oral and written) skills.
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work in a dynamic and sometimes stressful and demanding environment.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Strong knowledge and proficiency in MS Office (especially excel).

Education / Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business (or equivalent accounting experience).
• 3+ years of related experience.
• 2-4 years Public Accounting preferred.
• Insurance experience a plus.
• CPA a plus.
