About the Job

The position is responsible for several functions that are strategically important to the success of Maxim. Members of our team must anticipate, review, and solve problems that have a significant impact on the company’s financial performance.

 

Analysts work closely with the highest levels of management, design engineers, and production planning to accomplish their objectives.  They work as business partners with their Business unit to recognize key business issues, provide diagnostic analyses, drive action items and act as an effective liaison between various internal groups to accomplish the Business Unit’s financial goals.

 

Demand Forecasting:  Analyze short range demand forecast and work with Business Units to understand key drivers, analyze trends by product lines, provide market analyses and update senior executives on Company’s overall forecast to help provide better revenue guidance to the investor community.

 

Product Development: Assess profitability of numerous product opportunities; track performance of product development efforts and the productivity of design engineers; evaluate product results relative to business goals and elevate risky products to the attention of executive management.

 

Long Range Plans:  Work closely with Business Units to establish a detailed growth plan for the next fiscal year, analyze business unit’s capability to launch new products, evaluate growth trends and size of the available markets to review design engineering investment, challenge Business Unit’s assumptions and provide key analyses to help present plan to executive management.

 

Besides the above business unit responsibilities, the analyst should be capable and ready to contribute to the group’s internal reporting needs, take on additional Company-wide projects for process improvements and various strategic initiatives, and assist in providing timely and accurate analyses to support executive decision making.

 



  • Requires BA/BS in Finance, Economics, or Engineering. 
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Must be detail oriented and have excellent communication and multi-tasking skills as well as strong analytical capabilities.  Must thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.  Must be able to work with and communicate clearly with executive level management and possess good business judgment.
  • Must be able to ramp up very quickly, work with limited supervision, be a self starter and a team player.
  • Must have a can-do attitude and the tenacity to deal with multiple data sources to meet tight deadlines, quick turn around and high quality standards,
  • Proficiency in MS office suite is required. 
  • Semiconductor experience is desirable but not required.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
