Financial Analyst


 


Summary:


This position is responsible for assisting with the financial management of the day-to-day functions essential to support the Operations Center and Division(s) within that operation.  Specifically, to ensure that daily operations support and promote a compliant, profitable, and competitive profile interacting with Senior Management throughout the company as well as with outside agencies.


 


Two Locations:  Falls Church, VA and Virginia Beach, VA


 


Responsibilities:


·         Assist in the financial analysis and management of the day-to-day functions essential to support the Operating Division. 


·         Ensure that daily operations support and promote a compliant, profitable, and competitive profile.


·         Develop, manage, and track preparation of Annual Budget Plan        


·         Analyze Profitability Structures and provide Variance Analysis


·         Evaluate Capital Acquisitions and review purchases


·         Manage Indirect Cost Budgets and provide Cost Performance Reporting


·         Monitor and track Direct and Indirect Expenditures


·         Perform Plan vs Actual Analysis and evaluate Variances


·         Monitor Policy Compliance and implement Corrective Actions


·         Provide Monthly and Quarterly Program Review Reports


·         Develop and monitor Manpower Planning and Forecasting Models


·         Track Contract Modifications and Changes


·         Participate in Bid Analysis and assist with developing Bid Strategies


·         Determine Allow-ability of Expenses


·         Provide Cost Schedule Control Analysis and reporting for projects


·         Prepare Spending Plans, ETC/EAC


·         Assist with the development of Task Planning and Funding Allocation


·         Keep management informed of issues and ideas related to the financial or operational aspects of the business.


·         Special projects as required and other duties as assigned


 


Skills and Qualification Requirements:


·         BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or related degree.


·         3-5 years experience with progressive responsibility


·         Strong MS Office, Word, Excel, Power Point and analysis skills required


·         Knowledge and understanding of FAR, DFAR, GAAP


·         Strong written and verbal communication skills


·         High level of interpersonal, problem solving, and analytical skills which can be used to take initiative and meet objectives


·         Driven customer service skills with an ability to promote teamwork and build effective relationships


·         Experience with Deltek GCS Premier and Time & Expense is desired
