Financial Analyst / Senior Financial Analyst (2+ Yrs Exp)

Position Description
General Mills is seeking talented experienced Finance professionals to join our Finance Leadership Development Program (FLDP). As a Financial Analyst, you will be an integral part of the business team and are expected to contribute your ideas and suggestions day one.

Accountabilities
Initial Assignments
Your initial assignments will be designed to expose you to all facets of our global businesses and to prepare you for significant management responsibilities. As part of the FLDP, you will have the opportunity to rotate through a variety of assignments where you will be asked to provide leadership and decision support to marketing brand teams, operations/supply chain groups or our selling organization, as well as have integral roles within corporate finance (e.g., Treasury, Corporate Strategy, or Investment Finance).

Opportunity for Immediate Responsibility
To ensure your long-term development, our rotational assignments provide real world exposure to various areas of the company, allowing you to be an integral team member in each area.

Examples include:
• Develop new profitability model for brand promotional activities
• Analyze cost of goods sold (COGS) across product portfolio to find cost savings opportunities
• Develop costing model for new products and evaluate financial performance
• Analyze and evaluate capital spending results versus investment expectations
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
• B.S. or B.A. degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration with an Accounting or Finance concentration. MBA or CPA preferred.
• 2+ years of full-time work experience working within the corporate (CPG preferred) finance arena demonstrating superior performance, a broad business perspective, a practical and creative approach to problem solving, and sound business acumen.
• Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
• Ability to lead initiatives at all levels and across disciplines.
• Strategic business sense with creative thinking ability and process skills.
• Superior communication and presentation skills -- both verbal and written.
• Team player with ability to work independently while maintaining highest standards, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
