Responsibilities
***This position requires ADVANCED EXCEL and ACCESS knowledge and experience.***
Demand Forecast, Budgeting, and Analysis: Prepare and consolidate of the monthly, quarterly, and the annual revenue and margin forecasts. Perform actual versus forecast versus plan variance analysis and prepare standard reporting packages.
Backlog Review and Update: Review and update the backlog with each program manager and operations. Analyze the backlog conversion ratios, turns ratio, and backlog movement waterfall charts.
Quarter End Count Down: As a key contributor, coordinate and consolidate the data between Sales, Operations, PMO, and Finance to prepare for weekly sales review meeting.
Reporting: Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports, such as the weekly flash report, demand forecast, and the backlog reports, including variance analysis, presentation format tables and charts, and written analysis. In addition, own the world wide BBB reports (Booking, Billing, and Backlog).
Ad-hoc Analysis and Reporting: In addition to the above, the analyst should be able to participate in cross-functional teams to take on additional company-wide projects, strategic investment and initiative analysis, and process and system improvements projects.
Document control and internal control and compliance: Review and enforce company policies in regards to proper management approvals for agreements, document flow and storage, credit review and management, A/R aging analysis, and revenue recognition.
Sales Incentive Plan: Calculate the quarterly Sales Incentive Plan payments.
Besides the above financial analyst responsibilities, the position also requires some sales operations duties.
Qualification Requirements
· BA/BS in Finance, Economics, or Computer Science, with 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
· Must be detail oriented and have excellent communication and multi-tasking skills as well as strong analytical capabilities.
· Requires working closely with Asia and Europe, so participation in evening calls are required.
· Must be able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
· Must be able to learn very quickly with limited supervision.
· Must have a positive attitude and be a self starter and a team player.
· Must be able deal with multiple data sources, solve data integrity issues, be able to meet tight deadlines with short notices, but produce high quality work.
· MUST have ADVANCED knowledge in MS office suite, especially, Excel and Access.
· Experience with SOP 97-2 and SOP 81-1 is highly desirable but not required.
· Able to speak Mandarin Chinese is desirable, but not required.
