Financial Analyst II
About the Job
NAMM California, a leader in the managed care industry, has an immediate opening for a Financial Analyst II position in the corporate office in Ontario, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conducts ongoing analysis and evaluation of health care costs for management through data collections and analysis. These include, but not limited to, risk programs, PCP and specialty capitation, and claims data.
• Reports on trends of health care costs and identifies deficiencies/limitations/problems.
• Collaborates with management in identifying problem areas by specialty in the IPAs. Develops analysis to identify cause of problem and facilitates its resolution.
• Provides advice and consultation on types of analysis to perform to identify problems in both verbal and written form.
• Participates in monthly reviews of Health Care Cost reports.
• Provides support to management in any analysis of claims, providers, CPT or diagnostic codes.
• Works with management in analysis requiring expertise in procedure codes or claims background.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration: Accounting, Finance or Related Field. MBA Preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years experience performing financial analysis in a managed care environment REQUIRED. • Must have 3+ years experience doing financial analysis for medical claims.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access to include database management, data extracts, queries and report writing. Candidates will be tested.
• Experience using MedInsight analytical software a plus.
