Financial Manager Needed!
A independent retail pharmacy company is looking for an experienced financial manager to join our management team.
What started out as a small one pharmacy operation in 2001, has turned into a 4 pharmacy operation with sales of $20,000,000/year plus. The 4 owners, all pharmacists, are focused daily on growing the business and providing the absolute best customer service. For these reasons, we are in need of assistance in the day to day financial management of our corporation.
We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced leader, to manage the daily deposits, accounts payable, accounts receivables, payroll and benefits of the business. Also, someone that will manage the bottom line expenses and improve efficiencies. The business generates positive cash flow and the financial manager will be a key part in planning our investment options. The position will also have direct responsibilities in evaluating new communities for growth and existing stores for acquisitions. As part of the management team, you will work on customer service, advertising, and ways to grow the top line. The financial manager will have direct control over evaluating and recommending ways to improve the bottom line. Other responsibilities will include establishing audit procedures for cash, training new employees, and integrating the 4 stores into one central accounting office. We will provide a book keeper for assistance but would like to reduce the role of our accountant. Any candidate for consideration must have QuickBooks experience and general accounting and bookeeping knowledge and experience. We currently use a payroll service and only would require reporting information to them that is accurate and verifiable.
Everyone in this company, from the top to the bottom, must have daily interaction with the customer. Anyone interested in this position must not be afraid to ring the register, answer the phone, thank a customer, or sweep the floor. That is not to say this is a posting for a cashier. It is a opening for an important managerial position. The owners spend 100% of their time directly interacting with the customer and nothing less will be acceptable. No experience in pharmacy is required, but any member of management must understand the customer they serve. Several months would be spent working in the pharmacy to learn the computer system, registers, and needs of our customers. Our customers are the sole reason for our success.
Healthcare is a stable-growing industry. However, we are exposed to changes in government entitlement programs and therefore must diversify. The financial manager will assist in these important changes. We expect to grow in the medical equipment business, vaccinations, and assisted living facilities. The company is stable, cash positive, and has a very high growth rate.
The position will require 50/hours per week average. Pay is negotiable at $40,000 or based on experience. Bonuses will be based on performance and management of expenses. Our company has always valued performance based compensation. 401K match is best available under law and medical benefits are 100% reimbursed up to $900/month. Most daily activities will be conducted in Kannapolis but some time will be required in Mooresville and Charlotte. Since it is a new position, candidate must be able to develop systems and procedures he/she finds acceptable, and not rely on a boss for guidance.
Experience in banking or finance is a positive but the change in culture could be challenging. Our success in healthcare is not measured by the car you drive or the suit you wear, but in the improved health and service to our patients. Any team member would have to fit our philosophy of business. No job or responsibility is below our position.
The evaluating process will focus on resume, education, experience, and references. Emphasis will be put on experience and references. An interview with the partners will be the most important tool of the evaluation process. Also, before the interview, a copy of the 2006,2007 tax returns and 2007,2008 P&L statements will be made available for you to review. After you receive this informatuon, a written summary, comments, and suggestions of our financial condition will be part of the evaluation process and interview.
Best Of Health,
