SUMMARY

This position is responsible for global financial consolidation, sales tax reporting, supporting annual audit and tax return preparation, back up for cash management and other finance duties as assigned.  The ability to work with multiple locations, summarize financial activities and support financial operations is essential.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

• 
  
  Prepares monthly financial statement consolidation of global operations


• 
  
  Prepares monthly management discussion and analysis (MD&A) of global operations (i.e. actual to forecast/prior year)


• 
  
  Analyzes results and reports on trends


• 
  
  Prepares month-end journal entries and account reconciliations as assigned


• 
  
  Researches technical financial statement disclosure issues to ensure compliance with GAAP


• 
  
  Develops new financial reporting tools


• 
  
  Serves as back-up for daily cash management


• 
  
  Manages debt covenants


• 
  
  Prepares monthly bank reporting package


• 
  
  Assists in development of policies, procedures, operational controls and standards


• 
  
  Assists with annual audit including oversight of financial statement format and footnote disclosures


• 
  
  Prepares support for tax returns including R&D tax credit, UNICAP, and Section 199

       EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

• 
  
  Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required, MBA preferred.


• 
  
  Five to eight years relevant experience of public accounting and manufacturing industry accounting experience.  Experience with international consolidations and manufacturing preferred. 


• 
  
  CPA preferred


• 
  
  Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)


• 
  
  Knowledge or related experience in treasury preferred.


• 
  
  Previous knowledge and use of SAP preferred


• 
  
  SEC and SOX experience preferred
