The Financial Services Rep acts in a dual role as Investment Associate and Financial Advisor, responsible for generating revenue by consulting and building relationships with Commerce Capital Markets' wealth management clients, retail customers within Commerce Bank, and prospects. They are also responsible for providing support for their team of seasoned Financial Advisors by performing the functions of an Investment Associate,
Sells and cross-sells investment and insurance products and services to new and existing customers, including assessing customer financial needs, investment time frame and risk tolerance and suggesting appropriate investment and insurance solutions such as mutual funds, fixed annuities, life insurance, individual retirement accounts, educational savings accounts and other products within the capacity of life and health insurance and Series 7 and 63 licenses.
Conducts full needs assessment with current and potential customers and recommends appropriate investment products and services to meet individual needs, based on objectives, risk tolerance and proper asset allocations.
Maintains an appropriate level of revenue to ensure achievement of annual team goals.
Interacts with retail branch network to develop customer referrals. Ensures follow-up on referral status and coordinates the marketing of investment services that are available to offer to clients.
Actively collaborates with Sales Management, Supervising Principals and other Financial Advisors to gain a better understanding of investment product trends, issues, developments and maintain familiarity with current CCMI investment products to ensure optimum marketing potential.
Regularly attends and participates in meetings scheduled by the Retail Operations Manager.
Verifies and monitors clients's financial condition on a continual basis. Services client's needs, questions and concerns in a timely manner. Ensures that appropriate market transactions are executed.
Proactively contacts potential customers to solicit new business. Maintains contact with existing customers and referral sources on an on-going basis to identify new or additional referral opportunities.
Performs functions of an Investment Associate becoming proficient in opening new accounts, making account changes, performing Cashiering by accepting and processing customer funds transfers from Financial Advisors. Responds to Financial Advisor and home-office inquiries, results of daily exception reports and takes appropriate act ions as needed.
Coordinates order processing, verifies accuracy and ensures compliance with procedures
Enters IRA data provided by clearing firm, National Financial Services NFS into Commerce computer system
Is in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guideli nes, as detailed in policies located on Company intranet policies include but are not limited to Fair Lending, Know Your Customer, Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable anti-money-laundering policies.
