As a Financial Software Engineer at Galatea Associates, you will have

to challenging problems. As an Associates at Galatea you will be part

Galatea is a small, well-established consulting firm with over
a decade of successful relationships with many of the major Wall Street
players. Our success is largely due to our company philosophy of
"learning the business." While technical skills are essential, we
differentiate ourselves by coupling those skills with a firm
understanding of the financial industry. Securities transaction
processing is a multifaceted business that touches almost every area in
a brokerage firm, and as such we hire intelligent, dedicated software
engineers who are willing and capable of learning and understanding our
clients' business as well as whatever technology platform a project may
require.
All Associates are involved in the full software development
life cycle for most projects. This means developing requirements,
designing, building, revising, testing, and teaching for each project.
We believe that this approach maximizes responsibility for each person
and removes the hurdle of departmental and interpersonal walls between
Associates, with the added benefit of making the work more challenging
and interesting.
Salary: Competitive
Requirements
- Must have at minimum a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
- Familiarity
with leading-edge technologies (such as Java, Perl, C++, C#, Ruby,
Python, Flex, .NET, SQL, Sybase, DB2, XML, SOAP, etc) is a plus - 0-7 years of software development; financial industry experience is a plus

- Will not sponsor an H1 Visa at present so you must have a Green Card or be a US Citizen
