RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL Responsible for developing and maintaining Business Unit financial systems and utilizing these systems to prepare accurate and timely financial information and analysis for both internal and external reporting, in accordance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Financial Accounting Standard Board Statements (FASB) and other regulatory agency guidelines PRINCIPAL DUTIES: 1. Supports various Hyperion Enterprise, Upstream, & MDM applications including maintenance of organization structures, accounts, logic, reports, categories, and security. Integrates newly acquired companies into the reporting tool. 2. Provides end user Hyperion support to field and headquarter positions. This support includes organizing and conducting training for Regional Finance and Management staff. Training would include how to load and access data as well as report and review results from the systems. 3. Analyses, tests, and coordinates software upgrades to Hyperion with IT department as they become available. 4. Performs required Sarbanes-Oxley reviews of Hyperion access and security. 5. Assists IT department with the maintenance of the Oracle, SAP. & iScala global general ledger implementations including chart of accounts, reports, cross validation rules, security rules, mass allocations, and Oracle Discoverer queries. 6. Creates Oracle setups in new global locations including define set of books, define new locations and cost centers, assign default accounts, and general ledger data conversion. 7. Investigates latest financial reporting and analysis software available under direction from manager and reports back on potential group benefits from use of such software. 8. Tests and implements additional financial reporting and analysis software approved by Business Unit management. 9. Supports and educates customers, i.e., Business Unit/Group Controllers, their financial staff, and other customers regarding the financial information available, how to access that information, and how to interpret that information. 10. Reviews current system architecture and usage with a focus on maximizing the benefit from the software 11. Conducts other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or IT. MBA and/or CPA or CMA with previous experience in a multi-national business desirable. Minimum of seven years of progressively more responsible assignments in public accounting, general accounting, construction accounting, and/or manufacturing accounting required. Minimum of three years experience using and maintaining financial and accounting systems required. Knowledge of and experience with computerized financial systems, including personal computer systems, Excel, Windows, Hyperion, Oracle, and other mainframe or PC based general ledger and related software. Strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills. Demonstrated leadership abilities. Knowledge and understanding of FAS#52 accounting standards and other unique international accounting standards and financial needs of foreign entities.
