Financial Systems Analyst

The Systems Analyst is responsible for developing and providing MIS Solutions in support of the Finance function. The candidate will work in a group of 5 that is heavily Technology-centric with a goal of providing analytics around financial data. The candidate must be an exceptional performer with the ability and willingness to meet aggressive turn around times. Responsibilities: - Maintain and enhance profitability models for the Prime, Manufacturers, Custom, Direct and Leasing lines-of-business.
- Develop and enhance automated reporting solutions delivered on daily, weekly and monthly frequencies.
- Maintain, enhance and load Essbase OLAP cubes on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Ability to document development requirements and oversee said development by offshore resources.
- Must be able to deliver ad-hoc analytics on short notice compiling and aggregating finance data and other into clear, accurate and concise presentations.
- Interact with Technology infrastructure teams to weigh in on changes in data management initiatives, compliance requirements, and performance optimization opportunities.
- Interact with other functional areas such as Product, Pricing and Profitability, Risk and operations to partner toward solutions involving reporting, data sharing, or standardization.
- Participate in conversion projects to size impact to Finance and the Company and to offer experience and guidance to improve design and implementation.
- Support and enhance existing Web-based applications built in APEX.
- Must have proven ability to develop applications in APEX with the ability to leverage AJAX, JavaScript, CSS and html.
- Sophisticated experience in Oracle PL/SQL
- Querying ability must be very strong. Familiarity with analytic, in-line, aggregate, and pivot queries is a must.
- Familiarity in using complex data structures is required.
- Experience with the proper usage of indices, constraints, referential integrity constraints, and table partitioning.
- Experience in designing or working in dimensional Data Warehouses.
- Experience with the design and interaction with large datasets in the tens of millions of rows.
- Experience in designing Packages, Functions, Procedures, Views.
- Must be able to digest complex system requirements and offer sophisticated solutions to simplify where possible.
- Must have recent experience in the financial services industry (Auto lending preferred) and be conversant in financial concepts to translate requirements in the same into actionable systems / reporting and ad-hoc analysis.
- Strong commitment to data accuracy and ability to quickly validate results.
- Demonstrated initiative in both topic and technology. Require someone that is interested in understanding the business "problem" and ways to solve it as well as designing a technology solution that facilitates the effort.
- Desire a self starter with the interpersonal confidence to reach out to other groups when necessary and to partner with these groups to facilitate and leverage a shared tactic.
- Ability to handle the pressures of multiple simultaneous deliverables and ability to work overtime when necessary to meet deadlines.
- Must have a strong knowledge of Excel and Excel programming well beyond simple macros.
- Must have an undergraduate degree and preferably graduate work in Information Technology.
- Must be a team player with interest in engaging with the group to both learn and share ideas.
