This position will provide functional support/system administration of the internal reporting systems that enable management/financial reporting and financial planning, via PeopleSoft and Cognos Suite of applications. 

·         Loading of data/metadata into Cognos, maintaining business rules

·         Ability to use Application Manager/Administration Services to design, create and maintain applications, databases, data load rules, calc scripts and report scripts.

·         Works with internal customers to consistently improve and refine processes and procedures as it related to Planning & Analysis.    

·         Assist support Cognos Planning (an application used for budgeting medical expenses)

·         Working with PeopleSoft Finance module to support the budget process in terms of allocations, reporting and uploading the information from PeopleSoft Budgeting.

·         Assist with the monthly financial close and quarterly forecast reporting.

·         Implement modifications to the data warehouse when necessary. 

·         Support in maintaining and updating business rules tagging within the data warehouse. 

·         Help identify and authorize new data warehouse users. 

·         Take part in Data Warehouse Committee meetings.   

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

·         This individual must be able to interact well with department staff in order to understand system issues that are raised, explain solutions, and help them to utilize the system more efficiently. 

·         This type of communication ranges from simple explanations to more formal training.  Communication with users throughout the company is required for those areas in which PeopleSoft is utilized outside of the Finance Department. 

·         It is also necessary to interact with the technical support staff in the ERP Department and work with them toward issue resolution.  Contact must also be maintained with PeopleSoft for resolution of various issues.

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred, with at least 2 yrs of accounting experience including financial statement preparation with good understanding of accounting principles required.

·         Experience with PeopleSoft required.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both general and technical areas required, Excel and Word required, prior experience with PeopleSoft Financials required, knowledge of MS Access a strong plus. 

·         Knowledge of accounting principles and how they interact with PeopleSoft Financials required.

·         Specific knowledge of accounting internal controls and the manner in which they should be applied to PeopleSoft Financials required
