My client is searching for a Financial Systems Analyst (Project Manager) for the Baltimore office location.  My client is a large, well established Investment firm and they need to fill this position right away because the work has really picked up.  Job Information is below and pay rate is $17-20hr MAX.

Position Description
Financial Systems Analyst (Project Manager) with 5+ years experience to work on multiple strategic projects within the Listed Derivatives Project team

The Firm has initiated a global program to rapidly expand the Listed Derivatives business and grow market share. The goal is to become a leading global Listed Derivatives Futures & Options Broker providing execution and clearing services across all regions and products.

Candidate will play a lead role in supporting the Listed Derivatives project agenda.  The main focus area of this role is in Reference Data interfacing with the business unit, technology teams and both downstream and upstream processing groups. Additional areas could include Trades Processing, Clearing, Expiry, and Reconciliation Services. A background in Listed Derivatives products and functions (Futures and/or Options) would be advantageous.

Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to improve business process. Confer with personnel of relevant organizational units to analyze current operational procedures and identify problems. Write detailed description of user needs, as well as functional and/or technical specifications. Review current business process, workflow and scheduling limitations. Study existing information-processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and develop new system specifications to improve production or workflow as required. Prepare workflow charts and diagrams.

Key Responsibilities  Interfacing with users to establish relationships and coordinate business requirements.
Global data gathering & business analysis.
Liaising with IT & users to plan, test and implement technology updates.
Liaising with Operations & IT colleagues across multiple areas to gather requirements and assist in strategic project scoping and planning.
Liaising with IT colleagues to ensure business requirements are understood by the IT development teams.
Test planning and execution.
Taking ownership and coordinating delivery of specific tasks / activities of projects, e.g. UAT.
Developing training packs/ aids to support roll-outs to user groups.
Supporting project communications effort and ensure dependencies with other parts of the project are understood and managed.
Tracking progress and providing regular status updates.
Developing and maintaining project plans.

Skills Required: Demonstrates experience in successful project management and the delivery lifecycle for technology driven projects is critical.  The candidate should be able to produce business requirements using analytical skills across different user groups. Strong organizational and process improvement skills.
Strong analytic and problem solving skills; ability to learn quickly and solves poorly defined problems
Excels in an environment of ambiguity by quickly adapting behavior and work methods to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities
