Project
Parsons is providing design management support to the Pentagon renovation's master plan program. This program entails extensive and systematic upgrades to the facility while preserving structures on the National Historic Register.  Our key design responsibilities include site-access, high-security and blast-protective upgrades; state-of-the-art information technology installation; decommissioning and commissioning; office, meeting, food and retail space renovations; and mechanical, electrical and plumbing system upgrades for mission-critical communications infrastructure and vertical transport.
 
Need
Parsons is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to be responsible for fire protection and life safety systems and code compliance as our contract dictates, including commissioning of fire alarm and sprinkler systems. The successful candidate will inspect the drawings for fire protection systems and equipment for compliance and conduct life safety inspections, barrier walls, egress paths, stairwells, etc. You will document inspections issues, actions and resolution of fire protection and life safety issues as well as lead life safety meetings.
 

• 3+ years of fire protection and life safety engineering experience


• Knowledgeable of NFPA, IBC,  and ASME 17.1 codes


• NFPA Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) or NICET level lll or lV in Fire Alarm or Automatic Sprinkler Systems


• Proof of US citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance
