Simulation environment development (Firmware) - NW Austin


CTG is in immediate need of Firmware Developer for Simulation Environment Development for a long term contract with our Fortune 100 customer in northwest Austin. This individual must be used to running a software stack in lieu of real hardware.

 

Job Location: Austin, TX (Arboretum area)

Job Duration: 18+ Month Contract

Job Title: Firmware Developer for Simulation environment development                                                                                            

Job Functions:

Programmer/firmware developer capable of simulation environment development (used to running software stack in lieu of real hardware)

 

Required Skills:

·         Knowledge of  Linux, both using it and programming/debugging in the Linux environment

·         OO/C++ knowledge is also critical to understand firmware

·         Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl or Bash.

·         Understanding/Appreciation of good software testing methodologies (i.e Unit Level vs. Functional Level vs. System Level)

·         Good team/communications skills

 

 

Desirable skills but not absolutely required:

·         Knowledge/experience in embedded systems development
