First/Second Shift Machine Operator
With Chemical Packager (Filler) Experience

FIRST SHIFT: 7:00am to 3:30pm
SECOND SHIFT: 4:00pm to 12midnight

A world leader in the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry has a Temp-to-Hire position available for a Machine Operator to work the First and/or Second Shift.

Position Overview:

The Machine Operator is required to work in a safe manner and under a minimum of supervision. Additionally, s/he must participate in necessary training and successfully demonstrate the ability to operate the equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Machine Operator:


  • Performs a variety of maintenance and minor repair work to keep the mechanical Filling Units and packaging equipment in good working condition.
  • Examines machinery and/or equipment; determines and performs cleaning and minor repairs.
  • Performs quality checks as instructed and records data as required.
  • Executes changeovers of the packaging lines, often in conjunction with the Machine Mechanic, and makes operating adjustments as needed throughout the packaging line runs.
  • Is responsible for working safely and for producing quality products.
  • Is expected to do all possible to minimize downtime and material losses.
  • Keeps his/her work area clean.
  • Is responsible for the care and condition of any assigned company tools and equipment.
  • Performs, as required, other duties incidental to the position as may apply to the existing job description.
  • May work as a Chemical Packager (Filler) when required.

Requirements:

Required Skills for this First/Second Shift Machine Operator position include the following:


  • Must possess knowledge of the purpose, construction and assembly of the machinery and equipment
  • Mechanical ability needed
  • At least one year of experience as a Chemical Packager (Filler) in the same department required
