Fixed Asset Analyst

Knology, Inc., is currently seeking an Accounting Professional to join our Corporate Finance Team in West Point !

The selected candidate will manage all aspects of fixed asset accounting and will provide internal managerial reporting related to job costing, inventory control, budget preparation, projections and the overall management of the capital acquisition and fixed asset management process for the entire organization.  Provide monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reporting to management for use in the overall management of capital spending on an ongoing basis. 

Key responsibilities for this role will include but not be limited to:

1.                 Establish and manage projects in job cost system.

2.                 Records fixed asset transactions and maintain integrity to the general ledger.

3.                 Maintains fixed asset system and capitalize completed projects.

4.                 Prepares and provides reports by job to report actual versus budget performance for each project.

5.                 Prepares summary monthly reporting package for capital spending versus budget anlysis.

6.                 Computes both actual and on a forecast basis book, tax, regulatory and AMT depreciation totals.

7.                 Reconciles capital activity each period to cash flow statement working in conjunction with general ledger accountants.

8.                 Analyzes and identifies budget overruns and potential areas for savings.

9.                 Prepares analysis of CPE by division including units issued per gross and net add, CPE cost per gross and net add and other metrics as needed.

10.             Prepares summary reports analyzing construction costs, including miles of plant completed, nodes completed, homes passed as well as unit costs for each applicable measure.

11.             Prepares monthly summary package for use in the company’s monthly capital expenditure committee meetings.

Attributes we seek in a candidate will include:

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 2 or more years accounting or finance experience required.  Cost and fixed asset accounting and JD Edwards experience is strongly preferred.
