Flash Designer / Developer Job Description:

Flash Designer/Developer is responsible for implementing rich interactive media solutions involving video, audio, animation and web formats and technologies. The candidate must be able to demonstrate strong understanding of Action Script 2.0 and 3.0. The ideal candidate will have a good balance between creative and technical skill sets. This position requires a close working relationship with internal and external technical and design teams.


Essential Functions:

·  Create rich user applications working closely with technical and design groups – using such development tools as Flash, QuickTime, CSS, XML and HTML/XHTML

·  Integrate various media components into internet applications using the appropriate encoding & compression methods

·  Create multimedia players

·  Oversight of Rich Media Banners

·  Troubleshoot codes & debugging applications

·  Work closely with design department & tech department on multimedia projects

·  Collaborate with Design Team to incorporate visual designs

·  Participate in project and team meetings

·  Work effectively with project team to resolve implementation issues


MINIMUM Requirements:

-Rich Media Application Design & Development/Rich Internet Application Design & Development

-Fluent in Flash design/development – Including AS 2.0 & 3.0
-Fluent in CSS, XML, RSS
-Proficient working with QuickTime media files
-Proficient in HTML/XHTML
-Excellent visual design skills when executing a Flash or RUE project
-Experience with code based animations
-Basic knowledge in JavaScript / DHTML development
-Basic understanding of OOP
-Understand browser and plug-in capabilities
-Understand object orientated programming
-Understand core design methodologies
-Ability to hand code and work with existing code to adapt it for current projects
-Mobile device media application design and development a plus
-Knowledge of user interface design & experience a plus

MINMIMUM Education and Experience:

·  Bachelor’s degree desirable but not required.

·  3-4 years of multi-media development experience including web development.
