Description of Work:
Flat Panel Display Engineer.
- Analyze Display and Backlighting Hardware - Develop Engineering Design Fixes, and Coordinate Solutions.
- Analyze optical film combinations for display backlight systems, model light guides, system TIR
- Design, Develop, and Test Display Components and Subsystems.
- Perform Technology Research, Feasibility Assessments, and Detailed Hardware Design Requirements Definition.
- Update Schedules, Budgets and Reports as required to meet technical objectives.
- Develop Concepts to Support Advanced Technology Initiatives, IRADS, Proposals, and Demonstrators.


Job Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Electo-Optics or Physics. Other technical degrees will be considered with relevant experience.
- 15+ Years Experience in Electronics and Flat Panel Displays Research, Development is preferred.
- Experience in Liquid Crystal Optical Physics -LCD, AMOLED, PHOLED, SED
- Experience with backlighting technologies- CCFL, LED, EL, OLED
- Experience with Display Optical Parameters and Measurement (Brightness, Contrast, Reflection, Transmission)
- Experience with Graphic Display Interfaces: DVI, DFP, LVDS, and VGA-WUXGA.
- Mechanically sound with hands-on experience in rapid prototyping of display and backlighting concepts
- Ability to use Engineering Development and Test Tools.
- Must meet ASR Requirements to Work Inside vehicles.
- Capable of Obtaining a Security Clearance.
- Occasional overtime, and and weekend hours may be required to complete critical tasks.
