Flight Dynamics Software Engineer (FDSE-1005)

Job Description

Job Summary

Provide technical leadership and customer support in the development, test, delivery and maintenance of software supporting flight dynamics.  Formulate software requirements and specifications in support of various missions and orbital regimes.  Provide flight dynamics and navigation technical expertise as needed.

Minimum Requirements

·         This position requires access to and use of ITAR-controlled technology.  Candidate must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident.

·         M.S. in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or the equivalent

·         Experience in software development, software testing, and requirements definition

·         Knowledge of Orbit Determination, Flight Dynamics, Orbital Mechanics, and Estimation Theory

·         Knowledge of Matlab

Preferred Qualifications

·         Knowledge of Java, C, and Perl (and other scripting languages)

·         Experience with multiple software operating systems (e.g., Mac OSX, Windows, Linux)

·         Familiarity with GPS and advanced navigation techniques

·         Experience in orbit determination for operational spacecraft
