We are currently seeking a Food Safety Manager to join the Dunkin' Brands team!
The Food Safety Manager will maintain industry leading proactive food safety management systems, processes and procedures that protects the consumer, franchisee and brands. Executing ongoing performance measurement and reporting to standards, supporting continuous improvement with field teams and assuring design for food safety within operations, equipment, processes and procedures.
The primary accountabilities for this position include:
· Analyze and assess food safety risk and apply measures and controls to mitigate risks to an acceptable level
· Contribute to the design of new products, restaurant layouts, equipment, processes and procedures with risk assessments, establishing food safety requirements and review and approval processes
· Measure, analyze and report restaurant compliance to food safety systems standards through audit and inspections; directly or by field teams
· Support and maintain field assessment tools
· Support improvement, corrective and preventative actions with Field Teams
· Conduct Franchisee & Mgmt Team Regional Educational Sessions as required
· Chemical program support and administration
· Provide technical and subject matter expertise as required
· Provide Helpline support and resolution for all restaurant food safety related questions, complaints and incidents
· Provide regulatory guidance and support for retail & promotional merchandise
· Provide, review and maintain all food safety content in training materials, videos, courses, knowledge centers and operations reviews
· Contribute food safety related articles and material to Brand publications as required
· Establish & maintain relationships with local & state health departments
The qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to the following:
· Bachelor Degree in Culinary, Food Science, Biology or related field
· Experience in restaurant operations, equipment and design for food safety
· 5 or more years experience in food safety, quality assurance or related food industry experience in managing Suppliers, Quality Assurance Programs, and/or Manufacturing Systems
· Working knowledge of Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points, (HACCP), Good Manufacturing Practices, (GMP’s), Food and Drug Administration, (FDA) Model Food Code, Code of Federal Regulations, (CFR), and general microbiology.
