Incumbent works with managers to develop a thorough knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of a manager in his/her absence.

Minimum Qualifications:

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of three (3) years of related experience or a food related degree and one (1) year of related experience. Prefer incumbent to be certified as a Manager through Texas School Food Service Association (360 clock hours of classroom instruction).

Skills Requirements: Incumbent must be able to do rapid mathematical calculations and have the mechanical skills to use and maintain complex food service equipment. Incumbent will need to know quantity food preparation skills. Incumbent must have human relations skills, planning and organizational skills, and be able to use good solid counseling skills.
