The Chicago Division has an outstanding opportunity for a career-oriented individual interested in a career as a Production Supervisor / Foreman.

Responsibilities

The Foreman is responsible for directing the efforts of the warehouse operations staff, ensuring all work is coordinated, minimizing downtime, reviewing the daily personnel needs and recommending OT and reduction in hours as necessary, as well as safely shipping quality product on time and performing daily safety inspections. Additionally, the Foreman will work closely with the Inside Sales department and Production Planning Specialist to determine machine scheduling based on customer delivery dates, material availability, processing requirements, and logical methods of distribution. Other responsibilities include notifying sales with problems affecting On Time Delivery, monitoring aged inventory to ensure material turnover and effective space utilization, training and developing warehouse staff as appropriate, conducting formal and informal performance reviews and supporting all other processes on and between shifts with a pro-teamwork attitude while overseeing all production employees and acting in a supervisory capacity.         

 

Minimum Qualifications

·        Prior plant management and supervisory experience

·        Bachelor’s degree 

·        Knowledge of operations efficiency and Trumpf lasers

·        Knowledge of press brake operations, advanced machining centers, cut-to-length line and other processing equipment a plus

·        Ability to achieve business results

·        High energy and drive

·        Strong data analysis skills

·        Excellent organizational and time management skills

·        Outstanding oral and written communication skills

·        Precision instrument measurement skills

·        Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint)

·        Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels in the company.
