RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:
Operating at a journeyman level, performs a variety of complex services in specialized
systems such as mechanical, electrical / electronic, hydraulics, and machine servicing. This includes the resolution of daily PMs, trouble calls, and process calls relating to on site fork trucks and forklifts. Workorder/PM driven. Department is a team of four supporting approximately 404 machines.
 
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
1.     Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of powered fork trucks, forklifts, and related equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment.
2.     Provides direction and training to less experienced O&M Specialists.
3.     Plans, selects, and lays out required materials for service and repair work.
4.     Requisitions new supplies and equipment.
5.     Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
6.     Complies with all company policies and procedures and adheres to company standards.
7.     Performs other duties as required.
 


1.     Required minimum of two years experience in fork truck maintenance.
2.     Requires in-depth knowledge of various maintenance fundamentals sufficient to deal with service and repairs.
3.     Structuring welding and/or completion of an apprenticeship program desired
4.     Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc.
5.     Must be able to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
6.     Will be required to use a variety of hand and power tools or forklift.
7.     Will be required to possess a valid driver's license.
8.      Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.
