The individual will be responsible for credit analysis and management of a portfolio of client credit relationships, predominantly in the insurance industry (life, P/C, reinsurance, financial guarantors). The candidate should have expertise in the credit metrics, accounting, and regulatory matters associated with insurance companies. Product lines encompass committed lending facilities, structured transactions, flow equity and rate derivatives, foreign exchange, and other trading products. Candidates proficient with life insurance companies will take preference.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Process credit requests in a timely manner to meet business deadlines and maintain the annual review cycle.
• Prepare high quality analysis in credit applications that address client credit risk, transaction risk, and legal risk.
• Exercise strong credit judgment skills when recommending credit facilities, taking into consideration facility size, tenor, and suitability for client.
• Perform ongoing monitoring of client credit quality to identify a possible deterioration of credit quality.
• Coordinate all aspects of a credit request, liaising with bankers, business lines, legal and risk departments. Conduct credit meetings with clients, as required.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Required/Must have:
• Seven to ten years overall credit analysis experience.
• Ability to analyze and evaluate counterparty risk and financial condition based utilizing quantitative and qualitative data.
• Proficiency using Word for written analysis and Excel for spreadsheet analysis.
• Knowledge of capital markets and traded products, and associated trading documents.
• Knowledge of the accounting, legal and regulatory issues governing relevant sectors.
• Ability to write in a way that conveys financial trends and conclusions the reader with little or no follow up.
• Ability to investigate/research/
• Develop competency with internal systems.

• Ability to organize time and manage deliverables to tight deadlines.
• Ability to identify and accommodate shifting priorities with little or no notice.
• Ability to complete work with minimal or no supervision.
