Job Title:          Freight Audit and Payment Manager



Reports To:      V.P. of Operations



FLSA Status:    Exempt



 



Summary:  Acts
as the chief auditor, and manages the audit and data entry departments and personnel
by performing the following duties.



 



Duties and
Responsibilities
include the
following.  Other duties may be
assigned. 



 



  1. Supervises
    audit and data entry personnel.


 



  1. Provides
    customer service as required.


 



  1. Resolves
    advanced audit and other issues with other departments.


 



  1. Audits
    shipment data at the highest level.


 



  1. Insures
    that all electronic and paper bills are entered, audited and edited
    correctly.


 



  1. Ensures
    that all audit and data entry tasks are completed on time.


 



  1. Insures
    that audit and data entry personnel are proficient, productive, and know
    how to access standard operating procedures and other references.


 



  1. Updates
    all audit and data entry reference, standard operating procedures and
    training material, and insures that only the latest are available.


 



  1. Verifies
    that shipment project accounts payable are correct.


 



  1. Ensures that client reports are correct.


 



  1. Verifies weekly
    reports and ensures necessary corrections are made.


 



  1. Ensures
    that proper notification of vacation and absences is given to all affected
    clients and personnel, and ensures that all duties and responsibilities
    are reassigned and fulfilled during vacations and absences.

Education/Experience:



 



Four-year college
degree; or one to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of
education and experience.



 



Computer Skills:



 



To perform this job
successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software; spreadsheet
software; internet software; order processing systems; database software and contact
management systems.



 



Supervisory
Responsibilities:



Directly supervises 8
employees.  Carries out supervisory
responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable
laws.  Responsibilities include
interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and
directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees;
addressing complaints and resolving problems.
