Functional Design/Business Analyst

We are searching for an energetic and motivated professional which is part of the Exact JobBOSS Team.   You will be part of a software development team working in cooperation with fellow software designers, software engineers, quality engineers, product managers as well as other internal product stakeholders.

Responsibilities

·         Translates internal stakeholders' business needs and requirements into effective functional designs

·         Responsible for gathering customer requirements and taking a broad view, incorporates those needs into our product offering

·         Understands the value of customer research and difference between research and simply incorporating customer feedback

·         Understands the importance of the user experience.  Ensures functional designs include focus on user interaction design and keeps in the forefront of their mind and actions

·         Acts as the “product champion” and helps spread the word, key representative of the product team

·         Central contact point for interaction and collaboration within the product development team

·         Comfortable making presentations to all levels of the organization and to groups of customers

·         Key member of release planning activities, including both content and timing.

·         Participates with other stakeholders to help drive overall product strategy

·         Analyzes issues and test results, and proposes solutions to improve product

Technical Skills and Experience

·         Bachelor's degree or equivalent level in computer science/information technology or business studies

·         At least five years’ experience in software development. Experience in multiple release cycles of a  product

·         Proven experience in the area of user interaction design and focus on user experience

·         At least one year of customer support experience

·         At Least one year of solid domain knowledge

·         Can quickly gain a solid understanding of how our product solution meets the needs of our customers

·         Proficient in thinking thru design solutions with a broad customer base in mind

·         Strong analytical skills to dissect/understand a complex, mature business management system

·         Brings creativity and innovative thinking to the team, likes to “get out of the box”, and knows when to do so

·         Good knowledge of how the product should behave across many major functional areas

·         Able to clearly engage in communication around detail functionality and product issues to all internal or external contacts

·         Exposure to Agile software development methodologies a plus
