Role Summary/Purpose
The Analytical Chemist will be responsible for performing chromatographic separations in aqueous and non-aqueous matrices (GC, HPLC and SEC techniques) plus assisting in NMR Spectroscopy. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy of analytical results and responsible for all aspects of the analysis from sample preparation to reporting. You will also direct and assist in instrument set-up, analysis, data interpretation and data quality and report generation.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform daily maintenance and calibration of instruments and advanced
  • Assist in maintaining analytical productivity
  • Maintain instrumentation and perform trouble-shooting as needed
  • Provide input on analytical technology and methods development
  • Provide analytical support for Water & Process Technologies
  • Provide technical consultation to technology, manufacturing and commercial teams
  • Maintain key relationships with Global analytical team, Commercial and Manufacturing teams and Technology and Product Management
  • Experience in chromatographic method development
  • Ability to troubleshoot instrumentation
  • Experience in NMR operation and interpretation
  • Experience with GC-MS or NMR a plus
  • Communications and interpersonal skills

    Qualifications/Requirements
  • Masters degree in Chemistry, or Bachelors degree with 3-5 years of experience
  • 3+ years experience using both Gas Chromatography and High Pressure Liquid Chromatography
  • 1+ years experience in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance operations
