A Full time GIS application developer is needed for an international engineering and environmental consulting firm. The application developer works on various projects using skills that span multiple disciplines to produce custom solutions. Required activities include GIS programming of web-based and desktop applications, data modeling, database maintenance, and support to our internal and external clients.

Accountabilities
• Application design and planning
• Provide technical support to a project team
• Adherence to schedules and budgets
• Technical writing to support proposal efforts and project documentation

Skills
• 5+ years design and programming Web, Database and Desktop applications using  .NET, ASP.net, Visual Basic or C# experience required
• 5+ years developing against relational databases such as MS SQL Server, Oracle, and mySQL
• 3+ years experience developing applications supporting GIS including ArcObjects

Qualifications
• Real world application development skills (non-academic)
• Thorough knowledge of the SDLC
• Ability to solve multiple complex problems in a fast paced environment
• Reliability, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a team environment are a must
• Successful candidates will have an energetic and positive attitude toward working with multiple clients on a wide-range of environmental projects
