GM Operations

Principal Accountabilities

* Serve as key leader for Flowserve Limitorque, FCD business based in Lynchburg, VA.

* Responsible for Quick Response Centers in Houston, TX, Bangalore, India, and Suzhou, China.

Attain top tier financial performance by annually achieving financial objectives for Flowserve Lynchburg defined in the Annual Financial Plan.

Place customers first by continually improving customer satisfaction levels, On Time Delivery and reducing cycle times in Operations.

Maintain aggressive capability to support sales growth of above YOY levels while maintaining a competitive gross margin level of sales.

Build the infrastructure, train the necessary personnel and promote a company culture that accomplishes the stated goals for growth according to the strategic marketing plan.

Continue to drive growth from key Power, Water, and Oil/Gas Sector businesses.

Develop, implement and achieve the annual business plan for the operation including achievement of P&L and balance sheet objectives.

Provide management and leadership for all assigned operational functions of the business, including budgets, expense control, reporting and other administrative functions.

Assure that both the short term and long-term human resource needs of the operation are met, including safety, manpower planning, training, salary administration and career planning.

Assure that all products and services provided by the operation meet applicable quality and safety requirements.

Develop and implement programs that provide continuous improvement in the quality of both products, services and business processes throughout the organization.

Develop and implement process improvements that continuously improve on-time delivery, reduce operating, product costs and reduce product lead-times.

Develop and implement capital spending plans that meet the ongoing needs of the business for facilities, equipment and productivity improvements.

Develop and implement long-range plans, which assure that the business requirements for facilities, equipment and human resources are met.

Conduct business in professional and ethical manner consistent with the FLS Code of Business Conduct.

Scope and Dimension

Business Volume: USD $112 million

Manage a group of approximately 285 worldwide.

Number of direct reports: 12

Qualifications:

As a minimum bachelor degree from university, combined with experience in leading a business in an international environment.

Strong leadership skills, leading people in a functional organization in a matrix environment.

Experience in working in a ''Lean'' organization.

Good business experience and skills with a proven record achieving excellent results.

Experience in sales, customer service and manufacturing.

Skills in growing talented people.

Open and positive personality with a problem solving attitude.

Available to travel 25% including 3-4 international trips per year.
