Job Description

Philips Healthcare is seeking a Sourcing Specialist which is a key leadership position within Multivendor Services. This position is based in Franklin, TN.

Responsible for the strategic sourcing of components as related to the assigned modality. Works closely with the related Modality leader in determining material planning and procurement for the assigned modality. Locates and qualifies vendors and manufacturers to provide parts and support for multi-vendor products. Makes recommendations on alternative sources for parts and negotiates at a national level with vendors. Develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate. May recommend cost saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis, alternative sourcing and vendor evaluation criteria. At higher levels may require domestic or global expertise of assigned commodities.

• Responsible for strategy and negotiation with key suppliers.
• Must manage and develop improved KPI and quality measures.
• Reduce organizational costs for parts and outsourced service procurement.
• Interface with global commodity managers and business units on larger sourcing strategies.
• Manage inventory and buying strategies for part and service teams.


Requirements

Education:
• AS degree or equivalent experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• 7-10 years sourcing experience in the medical field.
• Must be resourceful and be able to function as part of a team.
• Service engineering experience a plus.
• Must be self-directed and able to manage shifting priorities well while still performing critical daily duties.
• Must be technically proficient and have a solid understanding of the medical equipment industry.
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
• Must be able to negotiate with C-suite levels internally and externally.
