Basic Description: The General Accountant supports the complete and timely delivery of financial data and analysis. This position works with the Controller, Director of Accounting, Payroll Manager and Accounting Staff to complete the daily, monthly and annual accounting responsibilities.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

• Daily cash activity posting to the Dynamics/Great Plains Accounting system
  
• Accounts Payable vendor invoice coding and payment processing including matching to supporting documentation and obtaining appropriate approvals
  
• Prepare standard month end journal entries including accruals
  
• Perform account analysis and research, including assistance with comparison of departmental actual results to budget
  
• Prepare month end balance sheet account reconciliations
  
• Support month end and annual general ledger close activities
  
• Assist in other tasks as assigned

Position Requirements:

• Associates or BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or Business
  
• 2+ years GAAP accounting experience (technology business preferred)
  
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
  
• Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains Accounting System experience strongly preferred
