Under the direction of the CFO, the GL Accountant manages the General Ledger for this nationawide supply chain management company. The GL Accountant controls journal entries that are posted to the GL.  The GL accountant also produces and reviews financial statements and closes the GL timeline.  The successful candidate will likely have a Bachelor's Degree (CPA a plus), experience with Microscft Dynamics 10.0 (formerly Great Plains) be extremely detail oriented and be highly proficient with Excel and Word.   Professionalism and integrity a must.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

*Control Journal Entries that are posted tothe General Ledger

*Reconcile batches that are posted to the GL

*Schedule month end close activities

*Bank reconciliations including follow up on unreconciled differences

*Work with A/P,A/R and Fixed Asset Managers to establish reconciliatio process

*Work with controller to identify and record final JEs including high level JEs such as equity.

*Ensure accruals and unrecorded iabilities are recorded properly; either reversed or carried forward

with proper back up documentation

*Ensure prepaids are recorded properly

*Close the GL timeline

*Produce financial statements in accordance with CFO's requirements

*Review financial statements with the Controller and FPA

*partner with Internal Audit to test various transactions, establish controls and mitigate risks
