Skills required:
· Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
· Examine incoming new claims and any other pertinent records to determine insurance coverage.
· Investigation duties to include: phone interviews and written correspondence w/client, claimant, witnesses; request police records; request medical records; determine extent of client’s liability.
· Evaluation of claim to include: review of investigative materials (i.e., medical records, legal documents/letter, etc.); assess the severity of the injury incurred as a result of the incident. Conduct timely negotiations to resolve claim (s).
· Litigation duties to include: assign and direct defense counsel, review and pay legal bills, timely response to incoming mail, attend Mediations and Trials when necessary.
