We are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented overachiever to join our team as General Manager for Operations.  This position is located in Richmond, Virginia and reports to the President & COO.  The GM will have responsibility for implementing and managing organization performance and change by overseeing the day to day running of four geographically distinct operations.  Day One: We'll expect you to take the reins of contract execution, customer management, project performance, quality assurance, staff development and budget oversight.  As you get more familiar with our business, we'll look to you to support business development opportunities, market positioning, succession planning, and overall strategy development and execution.

Crucial to success in this role will be your ability to develop strong managers, field supervisors and technical personnel who can execute projects on time and under budget.  We'll look to you to instill our company values of service excellence, relationship management and teamwork throughout all levels of the operation. Equally as important will be your ability to provide technical guidance and project direction, ensuring the achievement of financial results and strategic goals.

Our new GM will have a pretty unique background. We’re looking for a track record of success in senior-level positions within the transportation or construction sector. A strong technical or engineering background is a must, and a related college degree with professional engineer (PE) status a plus!  Ten or more years of P&L responsibility along with demonstrated experience in bid and RFP processes. But more than that, we're looking for an ace project manager,  a versatile team player who values influence and cooperation, and a tireless, roll-your-sleeves up leader of people.
