Pipeline and station construction contractor is seeking a General Manager. This position will be responsible for managing and directing all aspects of construction, operations and maintenance of natural gas pipeline systems within applicable federal, state and local regulations and company policy. This position reports directly to the President and will manage the field work force and subcontractors. Essential duties include:

• Safe and efficient use of all resources.
• Project estimating and bidding.
• Direct all planning related to pipeline construction activities performed by company and contracting personnel.
• Understanding the projects to ensure all participants are aware of the schedule and owner requirements.
• Oversight of construction projects to maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.
• Motivation of field operations to meet or exceed annual financial and operating performance measures.
• Support marketing goals on new customer growth initiatives.
• Coach and facilitate problem solving among team members.
• Develop, maintain and improve systems/procedures.

To be considered for this role you will have the following qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent construction experience with a minimum of eight years exposure in leadership position.
• Thorough knowledge of natural gas pipeline construction, fabrication and station construction, regulatory requirements, contracts, scheduling, and construction management.
• Proven record in planning, organizing and leading a diverse labor force.
• Sound negotiation and problem solving skills, clear communication verbal and written.
• Willing to travel 50-75% of the time.
