Exciting Opportunity for an experienced General Manager or Operations Manager to join this successful structural steel fabrication and finishing operation with a solid, long term history, great customer base and profitable operations.  Due to growing industry needs, expanded products, and need to find the next generation company executive leadership, we need a talented and accomplished leader to join our client's team.

The Selected individuals will come from the Structural Steel Industry, from a fabricator, General Contractor, Further Processor or similar steel operation.  Candidates must posess the following to be considered.

1. Bachelor Degree in Engineering or technical Degree

2. 10 years minimum as a Manager with a Structural Steel Fabricator, General Contractor, Further Processor or similar operation

3. 5 years minimum in a leadership role as General Manager, Operations Manager, Vice President or President with P&L responsibility.

4. Expertise in quoting projects from simple toll processing to major build and full scale construction projects.  (ie. work with General Contractor to fabricate and build entire steel infrastructure for a building)

5. Expertise working with detailed blueprints to quote/estimate, cost/price model, for entire projects from blueprint to build.

6. Expertise in construction, building and architectural codes, requirements, regulations and standards.

7. Expertise with high strength, low alloy, A36 Grades - commercial quality, weatherable steel, high performance steel for use in large construction.

8. Significant project management experience and direct management experience with direct reports.

9. Demonstrated leader with industry success and P&L responsibility.

The selected individual will work in overseeing all aspects of fabrication, toll processing operation including quoting, project management, fabrication and full scale project completion working with general contractors. 

You will be responsible for the operational P&L, business development, customer interaction, project coordination from blueprint to finished construction project. 

Direct reports will include Project Managers, Quoting Supervisor, Plant Manager, Production Coordinator and Engineering Manager.
