General Transportation Manager
CEVA Logistics is part of a global company providing logistics services. CEVA Logistics provides Fortune 500 companies value-added supply chain services, such as network design/redesign, high-velocity cross docks, fulfillment centers, sequencing, kitting, sub-assembly, return logistics, dedicated contract transportation and e-Commerce solutions.We are currently recruiting for a General Transportation Manager .
Qualified candidates will coordinate and professionally manage the daily operations of a small warehouse staff to process Dealer Returns for customer. Beyond managing the tactical execution, CM must be proactive in looking for ways to improve current operations and work to increase CEVA's business scope as well as thinking strategically, all the while becoming more intimate with the customers business. Customer is looking for CEVA to drive change in a proactive manner.
Essential Functions (add essential functions in a bullet point format)
• Day to day operation of CEVA’s Dedicated Delivery System (DDS) fleet. • Manage CEVA operations, including warehouse and driver personnel • Insure payroll processing and invoicing customer correctly for services • Generate regular, timely metrics as required by the customer. • Regularly communicate with customer personnel • Equipment maintenance manage CEVA and customer assets. • Responsible for hiring, training and managing the operations workforce • Primary point of contact for all operational issues with customer • Work with Business Development team in expanding business scope • Projections, Safety matters, implementation of changes, CEVA reporting • P&L responsibility for contract (Day to day CEVA activities - point person) • Deal with work load issues • Position CEVA to grow with the customer
Required Competencies/Education and Experience Bachelors degree or equivalent experience. 2 to 5 years' management experience in a warehouse, distribution or manufacturing environment.
