Provide Program Management leadership and direction of Generator NPI (new product introduction) programs.
Responsibilities include: budget development and management, work scope definition and management, change management, test plan definition and test execution, design-to-cost activity, program management, development of metrics to manage programs, interfacing with cross-functional teams, and driving improvements into program management process.
Conduct Programs per GE Energy's new product development process and drive functional teams to achieve program requirements, schedule, and deliverables including CTQs (critical to quality) such as Produce-ability, Performance, Reliability, Service-ability and Repair-ability.
Establish measurements for project deliverables, program budget, and schedule performance.
Lead and execute Tollgate Reviews. Support Chief Engineers and Centers of Excellence in Design and NPI Reviews.
Work with Product Line Office and Functional Teams to Support the Strategic Planning Processes.
Develop and maintain Metrics to Manage Programs and Report Out to Senior Leadership and Functional groups.
Perform all Work in Accordance with Applicable Quality Mgmt System Standards.
Desired Qualifications:
- BSEE/ME in Engineering or equivalent related technical discipline - Minimum of 5 to 8 years of engineering or relevant technical experience - Experience leading product development programs and business planning. - Strong experience with business productivity tools and methods - Program or power plant management and leadership experience. - Metric focused and excellent communication and presentation capability. - Boundaryless team player with exceptional influence and interpersonal skills. - Strong process discipline with sound analytic and statistical skills. - Strong leadership, process, and facilitation skills. - Strong customer service mindset - Experience or familiarity with Generator design.
