CRA has an opening for a Geologist who aspires to become an active employee in a vibrant, well-established worldwide engineering, environmental, construction, and IT consulting firm. We offer a compensation package fully commensurate with experience.

 

Qualifications:

• B.S. or M.S. in Geology or Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, Geology, or equivalent with an interest in environmental site assessment, investigation, and regulatory compliance.

• 2 to 5 years experience in engineering or geology including project management.

• Experience with assessing, investigating and remediating impacted properties.

• Strong problem solving abilities and aptitude.

• Ability to present technical information, both written and orally, in a concise and professional manner.

• Ability to effectively communicate with other technical professionals, clients, and regulatory officials is a must.

• Positive attitude, good interpersonal skills.

• Willingness to travel and work with client requirements.

• Self-starter, flexible team player, willing & able to work on a wide variety of tasks and ability to coordinate staff.

• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training considered an asset.

·   Private sector experience preferred

• Authorization for full-time, permanent employment in the United States is required.

 

Duties:

• Preparation of technical correspondence, project proposals, reports, work plans, and project specifications including cost estimates and budgets.

• Interpretation of environmental regulations.

• Coordination of small- to mid-scale projects including maintenance of project schedules and budgets and coordination of project staff.

• Field oversight of environmental sampling and construction activities.

• Attendance at meetings and liaison with client and/or regulatory personnel.

• Completion of rainfall/runoff, watershed, and hydraulic analyses.
