Inside Sales Specialists place outbound calls and are responsible for identifying and qualifying sales opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Place outbound calls to market to build relationships with contacts and garnish leads
Follow up on Marketing-generated leads
Educate prospects on Medidata and Medidata Rave
Maintain records of correspondence in sales force automation tool
Research companies on Internet, industry publications, and third party tools to identify new targets
Support Area Sales Directors to identify and mature opportunities within individual territories
Coordinate warm lead hand off from outside lead generation group to Area Sales Directors
Qualifications:
Knowledge of computer usage in a web-based environment
3+ years of previous technical telesales experience preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Solid analytical and technical skills
Exposure to formal sales methodologies
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Self-motivating, able to assume responsibility and work autonomously in a professional manner
Bachelors Degree in the Life Sciences, Business or Computer Science preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
