AT&T Interactive (ATTi) currently has an opportunity for a Director – Marketing Promotions & Advertising in our Glendale, CA office. This newly created hands on position reports to the Executive Director - Marketing & Brand Management and will be responsible for developing and executing creative marketing, promotional and advertising programs that drive consumer adoption, activation and engagement with A&T Interactive's online and mobile products, in support of ATTi's marketing strategies and initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conceive and drive the execution of 360° promotional & advertisings programs in support of business strategies, plans and priorities for consumer adoption, usage of online and mobile products and applications - and industry/brand marketing
  • Focus is on creative promotions, incentives, co-marketing partnerships, guerilla marketing tactics and other programs that drive large scale engagement and loyal usage of AT&T Interactive products
  • Drive the ideation process resulting in multiple creative program concepts for consideration, prioritization and parallel pursuit
  • Since programs may involve partnerships that may or may not pan out, multiple concepts are required for parallel pursuit
  • This position's concept of media should go beyond traditional TV, Radio and Online banners – though they are not out of scope
  • The successful candidate will be:
  • An “idea person” who generates concepts – and stimulates the generation of creative concepts out of others
  • Able to demonstrate a track record of developing and executing creative “non-traditional” marketing/advertising/promotional programs that drove results
  • High energy and a great collaborator
  • Work with internal groups to identify strategic marketing goals and develop specific goals and tactics for programs and partnerships.
  • Implement programs through combination of personal involvement and contribution, through other internal AT&T Interactive marketing, design and product resources, as well as - as appropriate - agencies
  • Develop success metrics aligned with each marketing program and partnership
  • Develop execution strategies and pitch to potential co-marketing partners
  • Manage budget associated with marketing programs and partnerships
  • Manage and maintain programs and partnerships once launched, respond to and resolve any concerns throughout implementation. Optimize programs and partnerships once launched and conduct consistent evaluation of program success.
  • Report out on metrics associated with all programs – provide executive level readouts on program activities
  • Ensure continuity of messaging and branding across all programs. Continually optimize messaging, creative and content.
  • Stay abreast of marketing trends, opportunities and best practices
  • Liaise with legal, business development and other teams as appropriate on approval of marketing alliance / partnership programs and engagement activities.
  • Liaise with AT&T Corporate to leverage current partnerships and expand relationships.


REQUIREMENTS

  • 7+ years of progressive marketing and advertising experience; with a strong track record of execution of creative and innovative programs
  • Agency experience a strong plus
  • Experience marketing Web and mobile products and apps is a strong plus
  • Highly creative and collaborative orientation and skill set
  • Results driven individual with demonstrated success in executing strategic partnership / co-marketing programs
  • Comprehensive knowledge of marketing programs and tactics
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to meet extreme deadlines under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field from an accredited college / university required. MBA is preferred.
